House Details and Slideshow

High Blue Farm is a charming 1820’s home on a 2 acre lot adjacent to open fields. Surrounding the property are 85 acres of conservancy land. High Blue Farm is in Fortunes Rocks, Maine near a three mile long sandy beach. This coastal community is part of Biddeford, Maine, just north of Kennebunkport. Features of the house include 5BR, 2 updated baths, an updated kitchen with farmhouse sink and new countertops, new floors in kitchen and mudroom. The house is heated with two monitor heaters and a Jotul stove in the winter.  The dining room opens to a deck with double French doors, while the living room opens to a screened porch, the site of many a pleasant summer meal.  Private well and septic system serves the house. There is a gravel driveway.

Behind the very comfortable and quiet farmhouse is a big red barn, a landmark  since 1948. A memorable party in 2013 was the occasion for rewiring the barn and adding a concrete floor, it even comes with a dance floor. The barn is home to a 1942 Ford tractor that is still used to mow the adjacent fields that fill with fireflies in the summer months. Be sure to check out the photos below.  Please note that the barn is not zoned as a function space for rental. The interior barn photos are to show the barn in use for a party. We don't have pictures of the bagpiper in the cupola, but that sure was a fun dinner-dance!
